RamRod incorporated in 1988. Our design and machining capabilities, at the time, lent themselves exceedingly well to the production of heavy-duty hydraulic cylinders and other related products. RamRod found itself supplying high-quality, durable hydraulic cylinders for a number of prominent OEMs in the construction, mining and forestry industries, whose manufacturing facilities were in close proximity.
RamRod soon earned a reputation for quality and dependability in the marketplace, and dramatic growth soon followed. RamRod has sustained consistent growth ever since.
In 2005, Ligon Industries, Inc. purchased RamRod. Ligon is a private holding company with a singular mission to be the supplier of choice in the OEM hydraulic cylinder market, and in all markets served. It’s a goal shared by RamRod and all Ligon operating companies.
Today, RamRod manufactures quality products in two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities, our headquarters in Spencer, WI, and our satellite plant in Prentice, WI.
RamRod’s Engineering group draws on many years of experience to provide exceptional cylinder designs, product support and customer service. Our skilled engineers utilize the latest in AutoCad and 3-D modeling software to enhance the customer-inclusive design process. Our goal is to evolve cylinder designs that both, meet the unique requirements of our OEM partners, and are also efficient to manufacture.
At RamRod, we constantly strive for excellence in our manufacturing processes. Strict adherence to ISO, and other dedicated quality control standards, translate into exceptional value-added products.
FLEXIBILITY THAT PROVIDES A COMFORT LEVEL
We have earned a reputation for meeting tough delivery requirements. Flexible production capabilities allow us to respond quickly to tight lead-times. Significant synergy is maintained between our two manufacturing plants allowing RamRod to better address demand spikes and special build requirements. This synergy, along with judicious inventory planning, makes our lead-times far shorter than most of our competitors.
